J's Racing
Amuse
AMS
Toda
Spoon
I don't think any are right in Tokyo though...
And if you got 6g's and don't know what to get ask yourself 2 things.
1) Do I really like to modify cars?
2) Do I really want to trust what people say instead of doing my own research?
The reason I say this is because anybody that is actually into modifying cars already knows what they are going to get next, and also every companies products are different for different reasons.
So saying this is what you should get is almost impossible to answer.
Finally don't expect much of a response because your question is too vague and you have not done any research on your own. There is a link in red at the top right corner, it says "Search"
Good Luck

hope you have a way to ship the parts back, customs is a PITA and I highly doubt youl be able to get parts on a plane. Im sure most shops will ship the parts for you though once your there.

if you were to go out there.. go by "Up garage" and see what they have there.. its a used performance shop but the items are in great shape and at half the cost...
i really want to modify my car. but i was asking like what can i take advantage of out there? that is alot cheaper than in california or the us. i know what i want but im just not sure if its better to get out there or just here. and i think i can have a way to ship stuff over cuz my friends family lives out there and i think they can help me,hopefully. thanks for all the responses

Honestly, the parts in Japan aren't cheaper at retail outlets like you might think.
For example, a Spoon shift **** was $200usd at the Yokohama SuperAutobachs.
You will find parts cheaper here from distributors who can offer better margins.
Although, DO go to SuperAutobachs, DO go to Type-One...although Spoon/Type-One are out of the way.
I was in Japan for a couple weeks last summer, here are a couple teaser pics to get you excited

I went to Japan a few months ago.
Spoon/Type One is a bit out of the way. Its about 30-40 minutes east of Tokyo by train.
I went to one UpGarage and most of the parts were for Nissans & Toyotas. The prices were not really cheaper and there was a large language barrier. The only things significantly cheaper were used rims (with tires) and used Recaro seats ... but then again getting items that big back to the states is a pita and shipping kills.
As someone said, it would be easier to buy things from the states. Getting around Japan is tricky since most people in the big cities get around by trains.
I think you can make the most out of Japan by sightseing and visiting places (including some car places) ... I dont know about shopping though. The car scene there is a niche market, just like here. Before I got to Japan I thought everyone and their moms drove Skylines over there ... but I found out that wasnt the case. I barely saw any Hondas in Japan. The most fixed up cars I saw were at the parking lots of tuning shops or car related stores. Nowhere else really.
Japan was a blast though, I'm sure you'll have fun. Make sure you do more research.
