when i start up the car. the maintance light flash about 5-10 times. then the light shuts off. its 2000 S2000 with 13k on it. just wondering what should i check for.

No, you should especially bring it in if it's a 2000 model. You can also have them check on the axle nut, taillight, and oil jets TSBs while you're at it. Congrats on getting your hands on a mint example. Take pics.

i understand the common problem with most 00-02 S's axle nut, but what are some other things u had listed there? such as tail light etc.

 

most dealerships wont just examine TSB issues on your car unless they have speculation it could be causing another problem you are currently having. i tried to get them to check out a few and they said they would charge me.

 

yah hopefully my warranty will cover them :*(

 

all that light means you are due for some kind of service either it be oil change, or diff. service or any other type of stuff. nothing big. if you keep up on your own maintanence the just force retrieve the maintenance code and you are good to roll. unless you like that light that shows up then just dont worry about it.
