Default State Car Inspection Skid Pad Test Shows Passenger Side Rear Brake is NOT equal to the other??? Any

I've got an EK hatch with an disk brake conversion on the rear. Had to do an car inspection and part of it is they slam on the brake on this machine that mesures the braking power, front brakes are equal and great, rear brakes... drivers side is fine, passenger side rear is like half the power of the driver side rear.

Had the same results yesterday so I replaced both rear pads and rotors. Took it back today... same results. One caliper on the rear is from a 99-00 Si and the other one (because it went bad on me) is from a 98 GSR which I'm told are the same part with a few small differences but nothing to effect performance variances.

Anyway, what do you think?

Replace caliper?

Need to convert to the 99-00 si MC?

Ride height uneven?

I'm running the 99-00 prop valve but still the stock ek master cylinder if you were gonna ask.

Let me know what you think...

I want to know more... What state and is this for a totalled car to get reg?

I heard of alot of tests and this is new to me.

I would get matching calipers and check your lines for cracks, bubbles and kink's.

Also check on your bleeding precedures for your car. Some are different.

I bleed the left rear then right front then the right rear and the left front. This is a honda designed brake system that is for safety.
If you lose one brake you don't lose all four you just lose the one brake connected with the bad one, and the brakes still stop the car with the two remaining brakes on either side.

Not a state really Washington DC.

And yes... they pool emissions and inspections in one station. You drive in, they test the blinkers/lights/normal inspection things, then they roll you up to a obd1 "dyno" or obd2 computer test station, then on the way out, there are 4 metal plates on the floor, they build up some speed, then slam on the brakes on the pads and the computer shows the pressure applied to each wheels stop.

The car is just a tag transfer. It was always in perfect condition. It's just what you have to do (everybody) to get tags in dc. Hell a friggen DC trash truck was in line behind me Funny watching it slam on brakes, looked like any harder and the thing would front flip (back sorta popped in the air a bit).

But I'll try to change some stuff on the brakes. They are definately bled right because I've done that enough times now (after learning the right way to do it a year or so ago). I'm guessing newer matching calipers since that one was from a junk yard but looked like it was in really good condition still.

they have those skid pads here also in jersey at the dmv inspections.
they also have one that shakes the wheels up and down to simulate bumps to test the shocks and suspension.
