Car shutting down at random
I have a 97 Type SH and about 130k miles. Started about a yr ago, I will be driving and my car would just shut off without any warnings, like if I turned off the engine. I would drop the clutch and start right up while I was rolling. Lately its been doing it a lot more often. Battery/alternator fine, it just doesnt slow die, it just shuts off. Lately its been harder for me to start up, may take a few turns. And I try to start up, it'll crank fine but when I release the key it shuts off. A few days ago the check engine light came on, havent had time to check the code. I was told it was a fuel problem so I'm going to change the filter which I suspect is the problem. Has anybody experience this? Any help would be appreciated. I plan on checking the code fri when I'm off and changing the filter.

nope, starts right up fine. I dont think its the ignition. but i'll keep that in mind if fuel isnt the issue. thanks

im just gunna say ignition switch. yours might have failed again. ur story seems almost identical to mine and i got it replaced and no more problems :D. btw i think there were multiple problems with the ignition switch so like if it were taken care of once you might just need to bring it back in. check if u have an open recall with ur honda dealer
actually I think you guys are right. Today when i put the key in 2, nothing is powered on when its normally radio/vents/ clock is lit. I guess i'll try my luck at honda.
