Default have $1600 to burn

got $1600 and planning to put it all into my 4th gen.

1992 black prelude
h23 engine
automatic transmission (although everytime i change gears the car does a jumping motion)
stock everything except for exhaust (can't tell which company)
got the car for $1700 cause it had a hit on the drivers side...but it can be easilly pulled out...

even though what you do with your car is a matter of preferance, i have no idea where to start and how to spend my first amout of money for the car. any suggestions?

h22 swap w/manual tranny. You can get the whole swap on hmotorsonline.com for 2100. 1600 will cover most of that and will be the best option, especially if your looking for power.

Do you have any friends that KNOW what they're doing. And if you don't wanna swap just start with Intake, Headers, Exhaust. Or lower it. or a manual tranny swap. wutever u want really

decide on whether or not you wanna do a H22a swap in the future. If you do, either save up for it, or put your money into something non-power related so it wont be wasted in power when you're replacing everything anyway with the H22a. Altho I guess it depends on how long you are gonna wait to put in the h22a

instead of buying a h22 just get some gsr rod bolts and type-s pistons and vtec head.
alot more power for less money

I save it till you have more money and actually know more about what your doin with it. Dont just go blow $1600. More important things may come up later on. Save it.. you will thank me later.

This is good advice. Try to save some more. I have to say that I agree with everybody's advice on swapping out the auto tranny for a manual one.

If you decide to get another engine, maybe some members here can get together and help you swap it...

save you money for now. find out exactly what you want to do, ie. na or fi. i really wished i would have decided what i wanted to do before i took certain routes. sure you can blow this 1600 on parts, but 6 months later wanting to go another way (example). so my advise is to sit down find out exactly what way you would like to go and go that way.

Don't spend it on an automatic 92 prelude, invest it, let it grow, and for now, rub your ***** for excitement

you'll be happy later (after you dry your palms )
