question on h23vtec help plz........
Ok im doing the h22 v tec. Im using the h23 crank. Im buying h23 probe racing rods. I bought h22 type s pistons. I was wondering if my valves would smack the top of my pistons if i used skunk 2 pro 1 cams with this setup.?Im using stock valvetrain and head was not milled.

enough to notice? not really. its about the same thing as milling the head. sure, it bumps the compression, but do you really, honestly, notice a difference? whats the difference between 11.1:1 and 11.0:1?

thats like 12.5:1+ compression with skunk 2 pro 1 cams, im willing to bet there will be piston to valve issues....you better clay it just to be safe. and yes the piston does stick out the block.

I have done H23vtec with type-s pistons and bigger cams then those tiny lift skunk pro 1's with no problems so it can be done but.... for added piece of mind it wouldnt hurt to clay/have the motor clayed

yeah of course pro 1's are a small lift cam
but yeah anyways, even if the same setup has been done 30 times, better safe then sorry

i was definately planning on claying it. Also next year im going to do bigger cams and a aftermarket valvetrain. This year i just want to get my car back together and running again.
how do u clay it? how much do u put on and is this the right way to do it: what do u do bolt the head on and spin the cam gears ?
