engine light

on my exaust pipe behind the muffler it has eroded and there is a hole there. would that take away power from the car or make the engine light come on.

it shouldnt make the engine light come on if u have a rotten exhaust hole near the muffler, and power wise, u shouldnt lose power, just noisy
