I have a noise problem with my 2002 Honda Civic EX. When I am in 5th gear, there is a rattling noise at high speed (65mph+). It is intermittent and if I hold the stick the rattle goes away. The stick is clearly rattling against something that is loose. My local dealership wasn't able to replicate the noise so they wouldn't do anything. I would like to take off the leather surrounding the stick to try and take a look at what is rattling. How do I do that easily? Where can I find a manual that shows you how to access that part of the car.

This noise is driving me nuts!!!
