Default Well this is Odd!

Well as was posted in my other thread, my CEL came back on 230 miles after installing the non-fouler.

Well today it just decided to go OFF again. Not sure how or why but it's no longer on and i'm wondering what the hell is going on???

I thought the only way to reset the CEL was by disconnecting the battery. Anybody have this occurance before??

The ECU will still run the checks it always does... and once the condition causing the CEL goes away, so does the CEL. The on and off for the P0420 you experienced was a normal trhing in my Subaru (had a header and high flow cat on it). Some mornings the CEL would be off... some it would be on...

Could it be an exhaust leak. Some people have driven for a thousand miles without the CEL ever coming on cause of the CAT being gone.

I don't see why the CEL would come on if the O2 is encased in the non-fouler with just a small opening at the top. It's always getting a smaller dosage of air flow and i was told that as long as that was the case that the CEL would not come on.

Edit: Okay i get it. lol. I'll stop bickering now!!
