Default Srp Pistons Out look

I was wondering on how people feel about the srp pistons!!! I am looking around for some pistons for my b18a1 block.. i am building a ls/vtec motor and i was just wondering on how people feel.. meaning if they are good pistons to get...

I see a lot of people that do builds have cp or je pistons.. but i just want to use the srp pistons cause they are kind of cheap.. and i don't really see anything wrong with the pistons.. and i have been searching for reviews on them but have not found any.... The main reason why i ask about them is because je makes them and i know that je makes good stuff but i don't really know about there branch off on the srp pistons though!!

i loved mine...

moved on to a different engine setup, otherwise i'd still have them in (just rebuild the engine, same pistons, different block)

sand down the sharp edges (as i'd recomend with any forged piston)and you'll be good to go.

they have a higher silicone content than most forged pistons which allow you to run a tighter piston to wall clearance. theyre are slightly weaker than your average forged piston tho, but still have proven to be able to take quite a beating

SRP's are a high silicon forging. Supposed to be weaker than a JE, CP, Arias, ETC, piston but should be quieter on start up.

weaker, but not much weaker really..

people have made big numbers on them...not too many people really pushing them actually..

so i should go and spend the extra money and get some other brand pistons then.. the reason why i am saying this is because want to do it right the first time.. so i do not have to go back and do it over again.. that is all.. but i think that i am going to get another brand of pistons that are strong..

Does any one of you people suggest another brand of pistons that arent very exspensive????
