I bargained them down to $15,650....should I push more (its a pain to do so) or is this price fair?

doesnt hurt to try to go lower...worse they can say is no and then you buy at the previous price

i thought mine was great deal until i found out my friend got a 01 spa in near perfect condition, clean title, with 7k miles for 12's.

employee discount is sweet, damn it 7k miles

 

Ok guys, new issue. I placed a $500 deposit on the car as I wont be able to pick it up until next Saturday (waiting for a $9200 check to clear for the sale of my previous car...supercharged 99 SI)....the people at the dealership seemed nice over the phone and assured me that they would hold the car, however I being the psycho that I am put my friend to call in and see if they would bargain with him for the S2000 after I gave my deposit....he offered 16000 and they said that they would not let it go for less than 17000...so it seems to me as if they would sell to someone that offers them in the mid 16000 area....is there anything that I can do to stop this considering that I did give them a $500 credit card deposit (although they stated that the deposit is refundable) They sent me some skimpy email (after I requested something to show for my 500) stating, and I quote "confirmation that you deposited $500 on an s2000. 15650"

Are there any extra steps that I should take? Thanks alot for your help!

 

Did you leave the deposit in cash? check? card? Checks and plastic leave a trail, so they cant bone you out of it.

 

sounds like a good deal. i got mine 2000 for 20k so yah.

 

Sign all of the paperwork. Then when you get your money, go pick up the car.
