Fuel pump question on my b18c Eg.
I figure its a hybrid, i can ask here. I have a 94 civic Eg with B18c1 in it. Stock fuel pump.
Heres the dilema. WHen i am at 1/4 of a tank the car takes ALOT longer to start. It cranks and cranks. Anytime im over 1/4 of a tank, it fires RIGHT up.
That a sign my fuel pump is taking a ****?? It still holds pressure fine when i tested it with a guage. Just wonder if its time to go bye bye and get something new... Car has 140k on it...

i have b18c5 in my eg and it does xactly the same thing, as it did when i had the d16 and a b16 its best to just turn your ignition on and off a couple of times you can actually here the tone of the fuel pump changes when its got petrol in it then it will start ste8 away
i dnt think its any thing to worry about some1 correct me if im wrong

Ya.. just odd.
heres some info. I was researching fuel pumps and what not. People saying that you dont have to change out the fuel pump when doing a swap... the GSR fuel pump flows alot more then the standard DX pump. Bigger pump... You wuold think there would be some fuel issues if you kept the stock pump on there. But everyone swears no...
i am going to do a flat dyno run, swap out the pump, with a GSR pump and see if that chnages ANYTHING. I had some bets going that i would get more HP in the higher rpm range with a bigger pump. The 2 pumps still flow the same PSI, but the gsr flows much more volume....
