I bought a .40 over D16A6 that was balanced and blue printed and had ARP head studs. While i was transfering the stuff from the old motor to the fresh head and block... i noticed the block i bought had a couple of things that arent the same. So i figured i would ask here. I'm at work so i dont have any pics.
where the charcoal canister/pcv valve set up is on the stock block, there is a different fitting, and the stock canister wont fit. It looks like its set up to take a hose. Above that there is another fitting that also looks like it accepts a hose. I'm assuming that it would be where i should hook up the catch can, but i'd like clarification.
also between cylinder 3 and 4 there is a hole in the black that is drilled and threaded. any idea what this would be for? and how i should close up the hole or what hooks up?
I did write the builder of the block to get info from him, but any new information would be great... i really want to get this thing fired up asap.

Well i talked to the block builder. The old pcv set up was removed and i have to run a catch can. the thrid hole was in the back of the block between cylinder 3 and 4... there is supposed to be a tap there two... all for crank case ventilation.
the block builder installed the ARP studs ... i'm not that skilled with building motors, not like you guys i guess... the motor that is coming out of my car is going to be my learning tool!
pump gas all motor super D should pop out of my garage some time in the next 6 to 9 months!
ps- anyone know of a good vented catch can? link me!
