Is it detrimental to manually fold/unfold the mirrors?

 

i would assume that it isnt that good to do it all the time...but the occational manual fold would be fine.

 

If you manually fold them. they don't lock right until you run through a cycle electrically.

So if they are open and you manually fold them, then open them again. They will not lock open properly. I have to run through a cycle with the button before they lock.
