JDM H22
whats up guys. i'm lookin to get a header for my H22. so far i've been lookin at the Kamikaze 4-1 and the Vibrant 4-2-1. i already have a full skunk2 exhaust so i'm lookin to jus complete the package. any other suggestion on any other header or comments? by the way its a 4th gen. it came wit a H23 but i'm swappin out 4 a JDM H22 wit 25k on it.
stay away from the kamikazi 4-1 you will lose ALOT of power, i tried one many years ago. headers are tricky for the h series, its not as simple as bolting on a cheap dc sports header like on a b series. if you cant afford between $600-$1500 for a custom header, than believe it or not it is best to stick w/ your stock header as it is larger and better than most if not all "off the shelf" headers.
when you are ready to spend some $$ for a great header than i would recommend HYTECH, i bolted mine on a stock internal jdm h22 while it was on the dyno and gained 17 WHP. when i purchased it years ago i paid $1200. im not sure what they go for now. there are also plenty of other custom headers available and most will cost around $1000. you may find some cheaper, but i have seen poor craftsmanship and broken welds on cheaper ($600.) headers. good luck

orrrrrrrrrrrrr if u dont have the money for a top of the line header such as hytech, smsp, rmf u could go with a greddy with the 2.5" collector mod. there will probly be a pretty long waiting period for it though

im so tired of seeing people complain about searching. theres alot of guys on this board w/ great knowledge who dont mind helping people out once and a while, and products are also constantly being updated. thats why these forums are here, to help people. if you feel someone is wasting your time, maybee your in the wrong place.

i share the same mentality as you, but topics like this is like asking "should i take a protein supplement" on a bodybuilding forum. its been covered millions of times.
i help out people plenty when they have a solid amount of posts and post a question that may not be answered very thoroughly.
i dont give slack to newbies, because they're just asking for a quick solution to their problems, only to vanish from the face of h-t forever, without returning the favor of sharing knowledge.
i think you're the one who's wasting his time.

no one ever said the collector size is the only thing wrong with them. but there have been dynos on here in the past that show a greddy header with a 2.5" collector made very good numbers. all i was sayin was if he doesnt wanna spend a grand on a header then the greddy was a pretty affordable and still good powerwise alternative

So true. Tons of noobs come on here and ask how to get more power for cheap, and then they quickly loose interest and dissappear...if someone really cares, they will do some research until they find the answer.

this is gettin off the topic...but i kinda agree with both of u. this is here for a reason...to help out people that need it. however, n we all know this happens, when some1 posts a question about somthin that was asked a page or 2 back and in some cases maybe even on the same page....thats when stuff starts to get annoying
it gets annoying to you guys who spend alot of time on this board for whatever reason, but not to someone who needs help. there are all kinds of forums on the internet, i belong to a ton of them, mostly diesel performance forums and i can tell you for a fact that this is by far the worst forum i have seen when it comes to helping people instead of flaming someone or telling them to go search. now if you spend some time in the drag secton of this forum you will not see very many "go search for yourself" because its a little more professional over there.
if you dont believe someone should get help because of ANY reason, simply dont respond.
