Default turbo charging a mini me

I plan on purchasing a Ef civic with a d16a6, and am going to put a d16z6 head on it, and plan on fully building the motor with tt rods and cp 9:1 pistons, and just a normal valve job with supertech valve springs and new factory retainers, and of course the nornal hot tanking and honing. I want to go turbo, but need to stay smog legal. Would I be able to use the z6 edelbrock turbo kit; mainly for the carb sticker. Also can you use a non vtec valve cover on a vtec head. Also planing on using chrome of hondata for tuning.

You should really ask the FI forum about boost not the NA junkies, and no you can not use a non vtec VC on a vtec head.

yes, you will be able to use the edelbrock turbo kit for a z6 for your setup, provided the charge piping is the same...
also no, from my knowledge, you cannot swap non vtec and vtec d series valves covers. on vtec heads, the spark plug holes are on the bottom of the vc due to all the extra hardware on the intake side for vtec. on non vtec heads, the spark plugs are towards the intake side.
but fyi, some z6 and y8 valvecovers (both vtec) did not say vtec on them. so if you're going for a more sleeper look, that might be a good choice
