When my car drives it drives fine. but when it is at a complete stop it idles up and down continuously until i drive from 1300 to about 1700. . what is this caused from???

i think its the tps but im not sure. I have a b16a in a 97 civic. i was told to take off intkake tube and i would see the iavc hole and the fivc hole. i only seen one and when i covered it it stalled. i am throwing a check engine light but dont know how to check obd 1. what is causing this??

 

iacv is bad or needs cleaned the 97's did not have a fitv.

 

but it has the b16a which didnt come in the car.. how should i clean it

seach fitv too, just to see what it looks like and see if yours has one but i don't think it does because of the one hole, most have two with the fitv i think
