Default If going from 14" to 17" do I need to raise car or change camber?

I want to put 17" rims on my 95 civic ex and just wanted to know if I need new suspension to raise the car or will it be fine. Also, do I have to change the cambers at all? I dont really want to raise the car or camber so how much larger rims can I get withouth having to do either.

also, what would be good tire sizes for 17" ??

Thanks,

No, you do not need to alter your suspension in order to put on the 17 in. wheels.

You will need to get 205/40-17 tires. It's 3.6 percent larger than your stock size in diameter, so they are quite huge. They will throw off your speedometer and odometer by that percentage. They might also rub; you'll have to try them out and see. Unfortunately, that's the smallest commonly-available 17" size, so that's what you're stuck with. I wouldn't get 17" wheels for a pre-'96 Civic for this reason. On your car, you would be much better off going no larger than 16" (205/40-16 fits nicely) or 15" (with 195/50-15 tires).
