Default Help! Hit a Rock on the road...

I live in this mountain town, and yesterday was the first rainfall in a while. I wasn't going fast, and thought I'd be able to go through it, but the rock was big enough to hit the underside of the car. It was a big hit.

Can someone help and tell me what might've gone wrong based on the symptoms?

At start-up, the engine sort of turns on faster than usual...sort of "jerks" up to the start-up. Then, once on, the engine is shaking more than usual. This is a 2003 civic, and it has 60,000 miles. Once on, like I said, the engine shakes more. The idle speed when it is stopped is rougher, and the engine sounds like it is breathing...You can kind of hear the rough noise.

I checked the underside of the car the best I could. From what I could see, the main exhaust pipe going through the middle wasn't damaged...I can't see any damage. Air still comes out of the exhaust pipe in the back...but something definitely happened. What could've happened?

Also, I'm trying to find a picture of how the 2003 honda civic looks from the bottom...the underside of the car. Can anyone help with that as well?

Thanks.
DS

The shaking enigne makes it sound like an engine mount problem, but that really doesnt explain the rough idle, or engine breathing noise.

it might just be the rough shaking. what type of mount could've been damaged by a rock? is the engine mount unprotected underneat and/or at a rock's reach underneath the car? that is why im also looking for an image to see how my car looks like from under neath, to see what is exposed.

The rock itself wouldnt have hit the mount to break it, but maybe it hit the engine and did something.

Im just brainstorming here, it's hard to tell because the 2 symptoms dont really fit together, other than maybe a timing issue.
