if anyone can help, this happened 2-19-02. i live in southern cali and was selling 2 harnesses to some guys that called me up. both harnesses were for a 96-98 civic to obd1 or a 96-00 integra to obd1. the one who called me went by the name of tony. there were 4 of them total. 1 was a driver(did not get a look at him) the other 3 approched a friend and me. when they were looking at the harnesses they turned and ran. one of the guys dropped his cell phone. they jumped into a dark grey jeep charokee with the plate #4DKA251. at the time i called the police and i still have not heard a thing from them. i have already ran the plate but the plate is locked due to the criminal charge. the harnesses are very distinctive. the outside plugs on the obd1 side are bright yellow and the middle one is grey. the comp plug is grey. all of the wires are black. both harnesses look the same. as far as i know i am the only one who uses yellow plugs. if anyone can help me find these guys or know who stole them, please email me or post on this.

i generally conduct sales at a gas station during a busy time or in front of the bank during operating hours...

 

where did u check the license plate #?

 

i have a friend that knows a cop. he checked it and he could not bring up info unless he put his badge # and a reason for looking it up. the police locked the plate # because im pressing charges.

 

if someone can run the plate # (that lives out of state) and find anything please email the info. its a california plate #4DKA251

 

damn that sucks... i didnt think someone would do that **** in person!

btw, i've seen yellow plugs on someone else's harness before too, but not just two, all three were yellow.

 

I'm digusted. The "import scene" makes me sick. I try stay away from the so called "scene" and only buy replacement parts for my car.

 

What about the cell phone? That should link you to an address where they send the bill.

 

I usually ask them to come alone and never give my address or home #.

when he called me his said he was coming from the 215 and the 60. tony was skinny. about 5'7, 145. buzz cut hair, asian. the car was a jeep charokee 1999 dark grey bottom trip and a lighter grey top half. im thinking it was a v8. before i got to their car it was already out from the spot they were parked in.

it was a nokia dark blue 3390 cell phone. area code 909. i know that for sure. i dont know the # to the phone, i think the server in verison.(not positive)
