teg seats into my hatch- How to do it ???
Hello I have aquestion I need some help with> I would like to put some 90 teg seats into my 91 hatch. What is the best way to go about it. Will I keep the stock hatch rails? Do I fab Brackets? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks Toby in PA
ill just say it isnt a simple swap. rails dont line up. I may be wrong though. Somone out there knows exactly whats needed and they'll help ya. good luck!
Easy swap,90-93 Integra seats will go in to 90-91 EF.Take your stock seats out.Remove the inner (console side) rails from stock seats, they simply unbolt.Make sure you remove the wire that goes between the tracks, you will need to modify it slightly later.Unbolt same (console side)rails from the Integra seats and replace with the Civic rails.Take the wire that connects between rails and hook it back up like stock or else you cant slide your seat back and forth.Use the unmolested stock seat for a reference if you need to,you may have the cut a little off the wire and do some creative bending, but it will work.Make sure they slide before installing, they may be stiff but thats okay.Set seats in car...you can align 3 holes except for the rear console side hole. You'll need to enlarge the hole in the track a bit,I suggest with a Dremel or slightly larger drill bit than the hole.Once you can get a bolt in and aligned with the hole in the floorboard, you'll need some sort of spacer between the bottom of the track and floorboard,a thick spacer painted black would work well. Also get a couple longer bolts for these locations,I believe its an M10x1.25,Im pretty sure thats what I used.No welding, changing seat pans,etc...can be done in a couple hours. Also the Civic and Integra outer (door) side plastic panels will interchange, but you'll need to enlarge where the plastic is cut out for the recline lever slightly,do it with a sharp Exacto knife and no one will ever notice.Hope this helps,I did it on my 91 Civic hatch using 90-91 Integra seats and it worked great.

Yo--on the same front, what about doing the same seats in a 89 EF? I know there's some differences between the 88/89 and the 90/91, is that one of them? Also--I already have a set of DC seats--is there any way to do that, or is the DA swap easier? THANX . . .
If you don't want to swap out the seat rails just ream the holes out and use a few washers - you will need a longer bolt for the right rear (if u are in the driver seat) hole...ghetto fabrications baby!
