Default 5th gear rpm, different tranny?

when I cruise on the highway at 80 mph i'm at about 3500-3600 rpm....most of the research I've done shows that stock gsr trannies are at about 4000 rpm at that speed. The previous owner got a new tranny at 102k and I'm just wondering if it's because of the new tranny or maybe it's a different one. Is there a way I can find out? tia

mine sits spot on 4000rpm at 80, 4500 at 90, 5000 at 100, i would say that its an LS gearbox you have or something with longer ratios
