Default time to un-pimp z auto - my project thread.

Well I picked her up today.
Saw her on craigslist.
89 civic sedan lx. 204k on the clock. 5 speed.
Needs some tlc.

Sounds like it needs a new rear rotor and a good cleaning.

Had a real bad smell when i got it home. Figured that one the battery is leaking.

After driving it on the way home I noticed the clutch needs adjusting and the speedo cable stopped working.

I got it for a good price plus I'm going to be using parts off of my 90 civic lx to build this. Once I have all the parts I need then I will be parting the 90 civic lx out due to really bad rusted rear end.

I did not feel safe in the 90 sedan or my family to be safe in it.

That is a picture of my 90 I was selling it but due to Karma and my feelings on how it will come back to haunt me I'm just going to part it out.

Here are some pictures of the car. I'll be un-pimping it first before I do anything.

yes that is a honda emblem stuck on the door. It really has holes drilled into the panel.

nice blue valve cover with white cap. Also take note of the cardboard on the homemade intake.

yep more emblems on the dash and door panel. Hopefully he only stuck it on the dash so I dont have to pull the dash. Oh well I will see tomorrow.

Right now as far as I know I'll be un-pimping the auto first. Then adjust clutch, speedo cable.

I'm looking forward to driving it due to it rode real well on the way home. This will let me quit putting miles on the rex. I'm 312k on that and counting.

my plans I have no idea right now.

I'm thinking a daddy sleeper.

I've got two kids so this is going to be my haul the kids around. So I want it safe but able to play with. My 90 civic was totally rusted at the rear doors so that was not safe. This one there is no rust so the possibilities are endless.

yep actually.

I've got the interior mostly done.

My 90 sedan donated these to the cause.

Exterior now looks like this.

I'm thinking of taking off the pin stripe and totally buffing the car since it is rocking the original paint.

I'm also thinking about putting my 88 crx si wheels on it or if I can find a set of bmw bottlecaps then I'm going to rock them.

no that is part of the exhaust.

for what it looks like it does not sound too bad.

The guy before my put it on then realized it was loud as hell so he had to put a muffler down line.
