Default HID question

Im getting a 7k or 8k kit, I was wondering would they last longer if they were lite up under a lower temp (ex 5k or 6k)?
besides the temp of the color what is the difference?

check the forums you got it wrong the k means color output not brightness and it depends on the kit you buy it could last years or days I got a kit on ebay for 200 bucks last year no problems yet its just something to throw for better out put try xenondepot they got real phillips bulbs and ballast that are rebased that should last quite a long time with a warranty and always remember you get what you payfor
