dohc zc swap into 89 si
just wanting to make sure what this guy is telling me is true...does a dohc zc bolt right into an 89 crx si?? he says it will, and the computer i have in the car will work and it will even bolt up to my stock tranny...if this is the case then im doing the swap tomorrow...so let me know
yes yes and yes but for the best performance get the pm7 ecu a little better than yours and you will have to rewire for the c a sensor

alright...thanks....which cars had that ecu?? and what exactly do you mean by rewire?? i dont wanna have to pull the whole wiring harness out, electrical isnt exactly my cup of tea
You will have to rewire the dizzy plugs. I think the usdm plug is a circle where the zc has a square plug. Its a piece of cake. You will need a small pick and some patience. Im sure there are a bunch of posts on this topic. Good luck

the pm7 is somewhat hard to find,,it comes in the car the dohc zc originally came with the 88-91 jdm crx/civic si or edm civic/crx dohc/1.6i whatever you get the point,,just go on ebat type in pm7 or look here in the classifieds,,just be carefull if you go on ebay though,,,,another option is to use the stock usdm si pm6,it runs the motor fine...another option is the 88-89 integra dohc pg7 ecu,it runs it a bit rich and the redline is higher but it runs fine as well,,its up to you what you get.
also if you need some direction look here http://fourthgenhatch.net/zc.html

The 88-89 integra dohc pg7 ecu is the "ONLY" way to go. I have had about 3 of these and you will love it. Its also a hella easy ECU to find. Most junkyards have a ton of em.
