quick question when switching headlights (97 accord coupe)
i just got a pair of stanley JDM headlights and i know i have to take off the front bumper cover and also the bumper...but the part that i want to know is. there are about 2 screws under each headlight lens for the bumper cover. now if need to take off the bumpers first to take out the whole headlight. how do i take off those 4 screws (2 on each side) under the headlights. the headlights are in the way and there is bearly anyroom to even fit the smallest philip screw driver in there to take out those screws.
thanks. technics

Well I can't tell you if the way I do it is the best bet, but it works for me. I actually ended up taking out the headlights before I took the bumper off on my 94 accord. If you take the bolts out for the headlight mounting brackets, be sure and take out the corner lights first also. Then it takes some brute force, but if you angle the headlight (still attached to the bracket) correctly, you can pull them both out. But be aware that It's nearly impossible to get them back in the way they came out. So after the headlights are out I take the screws out of the front bumper and remove it. I also remember last time I took off the bumper mounting brackets for some reason, I don't know if that's completely necessary. Anyways, with the bumper off you can position the new headlights all nice and pretty, be sure to get them lined up with where the bumper will be. Then I stuck the front bumper back on and put the screws in it. As for the screws under the headlights, I left them out and simply drove a macine screw through the black plastic edging thing into the bumper support, one on each side of both headlights. I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but I haven't had any problems with mine and the bumper is just as sturdy as it was originally. Good luck.
grab one of the bits that can go in a drill that is used for screws and turn it with a pair of pliers. then dont put them back.

you're welcome. I went from stock to projectors to DIY blackhouse and had to drop the bumper for turbo stuff and what not as well. That tool works well for the first time but my bumper has been fine without those push in screws under the lights in ever sense.
