Default 90mm throtle body on H23 vtec?

90mm throtle body, I got it from an Infinity Q45, they say it's possible to hook it up to an H22 Intake manifold. How do I do it?

that is insanely oversized for any mild build on an h-series

besides you'd have to build a custom intake mani to match the tb.

just take it to a machine shop and tell them that you want them to make a adapter plate . tell them to port match it also.
thats a very big throttle body. i see that they are using them to the k race engines

that is so big, why would you even need/want a tb that large?

is this in a NA or boosted car?

I believe so.

For anyone interested--http://www.preluderacing.com

Looks like the old H23-T made 491 hp and his current F20/H22-T makes 400.

Here's a list of his mods. What do you guys think? Some of you will be able to help him out more then i can.

meanshyguy (8:09 PM 2/6/2007): well I'm building an H23 vtec: type s pistons. crower rods. cam gears. type s cams shafts. nology racing wires and spark plugs, cold air intake, RFM Headers, 2.5 inch pipe w/o cat, compression should bump up to 12;1.5 or something like that, I might also get ferrea valves and springs, what do you think, is that good enough for the 90mm throtle body?

that TB is overkill like hell, your head and IM arent flowing anywhere near the amount of air that needs a 90mm TB. sell it to someone who needs it, then send your stock TB to http://www.maxbore.com you'll be happy with those results.

So what would be the best size, I was thinking of 73 or 74 mm tb. What mods could be made to the IM? and how much needs to be ported, since I'm already working on this.Is there anything cheaper than RMF headers? I want some with a 2.5 inch collector.

Those Q45 TB's are used for a swap on the 7M-GTE's in the MKIII Supra, which are intended for 500+whp.

IMO I say that TB is over kill I use a 70mm and works ok for me. 90mm isn't necessary to make over 500 whp. Not saying it will hurt but you defiantly done NEED it

I'd probably go for 73mm tb. The IM has to be bored accordingly right? any more suggestions concerning air flow?
