Default can you make a rear lip fit?

can you make a rear lip for the 98-00 accord to fit the 02 accord? i tried to test fit it, but theres a gap on the sides of the bumper and a gap where the fender is. it seems like the bumper is too wide/long. could a body shop be able to put it on?

The coupe rear bumpers are fairly different between the 98-00's and 01-02's. I'm sure a body shop could make it fit, but I couldn't tell you if it would still look good or if it would even be worth the cost.

They don't make one for the 01-02 bumper. If you notice, the 01-02 bumper kinda has a "built-in" lip (same as the front bumper). I've seen people mod the bumper to fit an OEM lip, but it just doesn't look right because you see the built-in lip line above the oem lip line. Just looks poor. I'm having the same problem, and i've come to the conclusion that the only thing to do is replace the 01-02 bumper with a 98-00 bumper and do it right. In the long run, you'll spend just as much for labor in moding your current bumper as you would getting a bumper meant to have the lip. Good luck with it, let me know what happens, and i'll update you when I finally get 98-00 bumper and lip on it myself.

I agree, theres some pics floating around here in the apps/cos, but it doesnt look right. Search and see what comes up, but I would stick with whats designed for that car.
