Default help me identify this part on a gsr engine (picture inside)

is it the evap purge valve? mine is stuck in a partually opened position. it is suppose to turn on and off according to battery current, correct? where could i get a replacement? thanks in advance.

according to my service manual, yes it is the 'evap purge control solenoid valve.' as for getting a new one, gotta go to the dealer or junkyard.

it looks different for this diagram. anyway, is this correct way in determine if the valve is bad?

any more opion on this valve is appreciated. mine maybe faulty and needs replacement but i want to make sure.
