wastegate spring question

Default wastegate spring question

if i were to cut a wastegate spring will my psi drop or will it stay the same so if i had a 10lb spring and cut it alitte bit will it drop?? thanks oh yeah also do u guys know what a green waste gate spring mean?? what psi?? it is well yah thanks

You are allowing more flow through it, so you just dropped your psi rating to maybe 9 or 8 depending on how much you cut. The color on the wastegate springs arent standard, they vary depending on manufacturer. And they arent 100% for example, an 8 psi spring can do 9 on one car and 7 on another, the psi they are rated at depends on your exhaust, turbo, manifold, etc. At least thats what i've seen when upgrading to bigger exhaust and went dump to air wastegate.
