opinions on which way to go first......
ok i have an EK and i want to turbo it but i am also wanting to put a fresh paintjob on it and in the engine bay....but the flaw in what i want is when i turbo the car i am also gonna do a wire tuck and relocate a few things to make the engine bay cleaner and i wanna shave the engine bay of all unneccessary holes and smooth it all out. but i dont know which to do first....can someone help me with pros and cons and kinda guide me in the directions to go cause i am stuck.....turbo, wire tuck, and relocation of stuff then shave and paint OR shave paint turbo wire tuck and relocate? thanks

yes but looking good and going fast are both going into my car...i just dont know what would be the smartest way to go....cause i am doing it all turbo/wire tuck/shave engine bay/paintjob....but the order i should go in. cause my point is this when i turbo the car i would lik to shave all ideas not necessary for the turbo and shave all the holes where nothing attaches or nothing is needed. but if i do the paintjob first i may not shave all the holes i need for when i turbo it to get that smooth clean look after i wire tuck and install the turbo. i'm just lost, its not a matter of doing one of the other i'm doing it all but i just need a little help to figure which to do first thanks
can anyone shine some light on this to let me see the order i should do this?
u all aint understanding my question....its not a matter of looks over going fast cause really i dont want anymore than 350hp cause i dont want to turn this into a track car if i do i will build another car. this is gonna be a nice car that i can drive around when i want or park it if i dont. my question is simply this....when i paint the car i am shaving the engine bay and when i turbo it i am doing a wire tuck too. but what i want to know is should i turbo it now so i can shave all the holes in the engine bay that i dont want there or just guess at ti and do that now. its not a matter of should i go look or go fast cause either way this goes my car is going to be parked for a long time so its not gonna matter i just want opinions on if its smarter to go ahead and turbo the car just not build it and then paint the car and shave all the holes in the engine bay or just paint it then turbo it. cuase i want to know what i am saving and looking for....cause if i should go turbo then i am gonna look for turbo stuff now if not i will just save until i can paint it
he's asking how he should go about doing ALL of it. such as an order of sorts. i'd say rip the motor out...paint the car and engine bay..relocate what you need to relocate and put the motor back in w/ the turbo already installed on it so all you need to put on is the DP and exhaust.
well can anyone point me to the holes that i can shave in my engine and what i can remove from the engine bay that wont affect the performance of the motor or the function of the car in general? thanks
I say you turbo and shave and tuck and all that **** and paint the engine bay to match the outside you'll eventually be going with. then when you have the funds or whenever you're finally ready to paint do the paint.
turbo first, fix the engine bay to your liking.
then
paint outside.

yea i know and i have searched but it still doesnt answer my questions of what holes to fill in its physically impossible to determine that from a picture. because there are some holes covered up in pictures and nothing looks the same.

can anyone tell me if it will make a difference to turbo now or later....is there that many visible holes i will want to shave that will be shown after a turbo? thanks oh yea and what all can i remove from the engine bay to clean it up some that wont affect my functioning of the car or AC...thanks
Putting a turbo on isn't going to affect anything. It's not like you attach it to any of the sheet metal. The only thing would be if you need to run like an FMU or something but you probably wouldn't use existing holes. Your injectors will be on the same harness, your oil lines are off the engine, etc. It doesn't really affect shaving in anyway i can see. It's going to just be preference. What do you want done first?
that is the thing is doesnt matter cause the car will be parked while all of its done. i just didnt wanna do one thing and wish i went ahead and done another

youll wanna go faster and faster and faster and faster!
