Default Crankshaft pulley bolt

Whats the best way to get this off w/out air tools?

super breaker bar and the tool to hold the crank pulley and good extensions the kind with lifetime warenty so when they break you get new ones. or you might be lucky and it comes off easy. its always a suprise.

put a wrench with a long bar on the crank bolt and turn the engine on, when it rotates it will loosen the bolt a whole lot. Works al the time for me

Thanks for all the great info. I put a screwdriver in the flywheel and used a 42" breaker bar. Took it right off.

I gave up today and went and had someone with a impact gun to do it and even than it took them 15 minutes to get it off -

i just broke 5 craftsman extensions, a craftsman breaker bar, and even tried a 550 ft lb of torque impact with 130 psi behind it and mine still wont budge...dunno what im gonna do, hopefully a dohc ZC swap (Y)

DONT DO THIS it will turn the bolt the wrong way and break something.

yeah this is what i do all the time..if it absolutely wont come off ill use the little propan torch (i hate using it)

this definately has to be the most dangerous, unintelligent way of removing the crank pulley bolt.

i just took my off about 20 mins ago still putting my water pump on. use a bigg screw driver and put it the flywheel then use a 1/2 wrench with a cheater and then use your foor and push to the back it will work it did for me i broke my 3/8 breaker and my 17mm socket.
