Default Retrofit finally done! Pics, tips, and comments.

Well guys, this took me a week to accomplish during winter break. It took me this long mainly b/c of my mom bugging me and telling me to stop working on my car and custom making my own "TABS"...I was gonna do a write up on what to do with broken tabs but I found out that it really depends on the condition the headlights are in, so sorry. I used Audi Valeo projectors with valeo balasts. For anyone wants to attempt this in the future, use this link: http://preludepower.com/forums...rofit . Enough with words and on with PICTURES!!!

While the bumper was off, I took the opportunity to take out the intake resonator...wow what a waste of plastic that was!

Test fitting the projectors

I used 97cents doggie bowls from Walmart for the shrouds and $2 ace pipe thingy for the brezel. Came out nice if u ask me

Just some test fitting

The final outcome!!

I really wished that all of my tabs weren't broken b/c that would make aiming, testing, and overall project so much easier. In the end, it all looks well and flows well. I like the end results but I just thought that the lights would be alot brighter. The cut off looks nice but I feel like I am missing something...iono. I know that the fogs are a little sideways and the fit is not perfect, but it will do . All in all i spent about $220 for the whole project.

Thanks for looking

You can do it on the 4th gen more easily b/c the housings are different and you can actually buy inexpensive extras to work on. I bought the projectors/bulbs/ballasts from ebay (gotta be patient) for 180 and the other 40 bucks were spent on wires, screws, nuts, springs, doggie bowl, pipe thingy, and lets not forget JBWELD!!!

JBWELD FTW!!!

Thanks for the comments guys

After seeing your home-made velocity stack, I didn't think this would look good...
I was wrong.
