Default cel codes 4 and 16 after MPFI swap

#4 is the crankshaft position sensor # 16 is the fuel injection system.

pretty sure all the wires are hooked up correctly. I accidentally cut the plug off of the DX harness for the dizzy, so I had to rewire the plug back on, I could have possibly mixed those wires up but im pretty sure they are right. that is teh only problem I ran into with the whole setup.

i thought i had the white wires mixed up on the dizzy so I switched them. After switching the wires the car no longer started. we switched them back and it started.

still throwing 4 and 16 though

also my #1 injector is leaking some, could that cause the #16? car sounded like it possibly was missing some.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blinger &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">also my #1 injector is leaking some, could that cause the #16? car sounded like it possibly was missing some.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Code 16 is set only with an electrical problem. The ECU provides the grounds for the injectors to pulse them. If the voltage coming from the injectors is interupted, the code 16 will set.

im about to go back out and rewire the entire system again.

I swapped ECU's and Dizzy's with another car and still pulled both codes.
