Default opinions on good midrange cams

setup is : b16 head (still stock for now)... gsr block probe i beams 81.5 srps 11.2-1 actuale compression oem gasket and dunno on what cams i need for good mid range power plan to rev to 9k and make roughly 200 after tuning.....opinions suggestions open

for a b16, i like the ctr cams. dont think you could net 200 hp off of them though.

maybe s2s2? 200 hp IMO would be a little work out of a b16, but you do have bumped compression so who knows?

Base Dyno: B16 w/ GSR Cams and GSR Headers 170.9HP, 123.8TQ
Buddy Club Dyno: B16 with SPEC III+ CAMS and GSR Headers 184.9HP, 129.4TQ

Hope those are not early Probe/ IB rods that take the LS bearing you are trying to put in you GSR. If you get them to work I have a set for $150.00 new.

hell yeah. for ctr cams if you want good midrange but dont expect 200 hp out of them with your set up.

If you put some good cams in a b18c when it only has i/h/e how much faster would it be?

If you look at the setup I believe that's with gsr cams and gsr header I believe

Did you guys completely miss the first post?!?!?! he said he's running a gsr block.... thats not a b16 anymore now is it.

I'd say run crower stg 2's or even 3's or pro 1's for some great mid range.

no i didnt miss the first post........as you can see i've been here since the get go. but as it got further down the thread i forgot about the gsr block.

with the s2s2's and the pro 1's and also the bc3s oh and stage 2 crowers can i set the cams at stock timing till i get it tuned ?
