Professional Products throttle body (only $140!?)
Has anyone used this product on an H series motor? Its cheap and 68mm is big enough...

its good stuff i was going to buy it for my h22 but i found a used billet 69 mm for cheap so i bought it intead. cant beat for the price and you get to hide the MAP sensor.
Yeah, I also already have my coolant lines re-routed so it would be pretty strait forward.
Just curious to see if anyone uses it, so I'll know if its prone to any problems... but now that I think of it... there isnt much that could break that couldnt bea eaisly fixed.

Shitty throttle bodies have been known to either leak around the butterfly plate, stick, or worst case, the screws that hold the butterfly to the rotor come loose and fall into the engine. I'm not saying this one is shitty but it does have the potential to be.
Just give it a good once-over and maybe loctite those screws before using it.

this is a very good TB. I have this same exact one on my H22 (68mm). if you're looking to get a bigger TB, go with this one. the install is straight forward. i thought the same thing at first--cheap, until scott(2point6) showed it to me and i actually used it. the skunk2 and even the erick's racing have been known to stick sometimes.

almost 6months and still no probs.

What's the advantage using a TB? Is it a good mod for stock (only I/H/E) H22's, or will you have advantages for more tuned engines only?
Only, the OEM intake won't fit anymore when using this TB, right?

I'm not sure if the OEM intake will still fit this TB because i am using an aem cai, but the advantage of using a bigger TB is to allow more air into the engine because our stock size (62mm correct me if i'm wrong?) doesn't feed enough air. as normal, you would get more gains with a tuned engine.

would it make any kind of relative difference on a mostly stock motor though? i think thats wut he was tryin to get at. if it would help out a motor with just somthin simple like i/h/e as opposed to a built motor
