Default '07 Civic Door Locks...

Anyone able to get the drivers side door to unlock all the doors on the car when you open it...its a real pain in the @$$ to have to unlock the passenger doors when you stop to let out your passengers...

Also...anyone else have a problem with the key fob not opening the trunk...neither one of our fobs will open the trunk...

Thanks

Read your manual.... as for the "when u stop" sorry but thats all that cane be done
if u have auto it should open in park i believe.

Contact your dealership
they might have not coded your fobs correctly.

Uhhh...I don't really understand the question..but here goes..

just when u get in the car..unlock both doors with the key fob...and they'll stay unlocked...as far as the trunk...you have to hold the button down for like 2 secs. I had a lot of customers that said that same thing about the trunk...but they were trying to click it fast like the door locks..but u have to hold it down...if problem persists...see dealer..

^ like what was said above...read the manual about ignition(if your manual)/park(if your auto) door unlock.

i remember having this same problem with my coupe....but here's my best...to explain but its in the manual....you go in the car...put your key in the first switch....and then hold down your unlock button...until you hear 3 clicks..after the 3rd click...it should work...should hold it down for about 10 secs. i dont know if i explained it right...but its in the manual.

LOL...as for the first question...guess thats what I get for having my wife tell me there's nothing in the book on the locks...and the dealership telling me nothing can be done about it...its all right there in black and white...will go playwith it during Jr's nap time...

As for the trunk...yup...two seconds and up she goes...thanks guys

after reading this thread i was determined to solve this problem. so i busted out my manual and did what it said. and IT WORKS!!! now my passenger doesnt have to unlock themself out of my coupe when im already outside. heres what i did

1. closed the door and pulled up the eBrake.
2. turn key to ignition to the 2nd (II) switch
3. press and hold the unlock button, its going to make the unlocking noise right when you press it. keep holding it down till you hear 2 more.
4. after the last unlocking noise, set the key to the first (I) switch
5. then i waited like 10 sec

i started her up and drove to 10 MPH and cut off the engine (still rolling) and both doors unlocked!

i've accomplished something today

The only thing cool about the locks in the Si is you can manually flip the lock on the drivers side and the passenger one locks too haha.... maybe a backup in case the switch on the drivers side breaks.

if you cant get your door locks to work right... "as in get them to unlock all doors when you turn your car off" take it back to the dealer......

i just went to the dealer today and they had to order a master switch in the drivers door because it wasn't working right....

just an f.y.i

well if what i did, didn't work. have you tried the way of the owners manual?

assuming you have a coupe, its on page 83 if you have auto, and 84 if you have 5 speed.

Per the manual. How to disable the 9mph locking function.

Car off, e-brake on

1.OPEN THE DRIVER DOOR!!!!! And leave it open. Most important thing, door MUST be open.
2 Key to on.
3. Press and hold Lock button (top half) on driver door for approx 5 secs. The doors will not lock at first keep holding.
4 Once you hear the doors lock, let go of the button.
5. Turn key off within 5 secs.

Voila.
