Default How to disable my integra?

Ok so I had some really strange car in front of my house tonight reving its motor and it took off slowly when i opened the door. So needless to say it worried me enough to leave and come to my friends house.

Until I can get some good security, what are a few good ways to disable the car that a common idiot thief wouldn't think/have time to find quicky?

I'd rather not have to take my ecu in and out of my car, looking for something easier/less obvious.

put a ford tempo badge on it. most thieves aren't smart or they wouldn't be stealing. a ford tempo badge would keep it safe....trust me on this...

Back it up aganist your house or garage or any building and park a car in front of it. Taking you wheels off is your best bet but i had to come up with something new.

I think ecu trick is good but any time you do it make sure you warm up your car so it can idle re-learn.but also go with a killswitch to the fuel pump,i work at a honda dealership as a tech, not saying i know it all but we get alot of theft recovers and when we inspect them most of the ones that had a good hidden killswicth there cars were not stolen just broken into.not saying its good but at least you still kinda got your ride unless thet totally strip the car

never saw any reply about removing the battery... thats pretty quick, unplug distributor input plugs, and remove subs if you have any in the car.

I HATE THEIVES!

I have a kill switch that interrupts the ground of the distributor. Everyone I know seems to do the fuel pump or ignition, so I decided to do something different.

plug in ur air bags to the ignition switch through alarm, so when it's armed and somebody tries to start your car air bags would go out. i don't think they will steal yuor car after making so much noise

watch your car or do some home security.....then keep a 12 gauge close by....no ammo I don't think you would want someone to actually get hurt or killed, but just aim the gun at em....and yell....they'll run

I do like the gun idea, but I live in the sticks and if it did happen to me, I could actually get away with that....I dont recommend doing it in a place with a lot of close houses. That is one good thing about where I live, really don't have to worry about thieves

quick and dirty method till you get it set up, just unplug your fuel pump there should be a connector for it right above the tank.

also if you have a dry cell battery think of relocating it to the back. I've heard of a lot of thieves that just pop the hood and cut the battery cables to kill your alarm, then they have plenty of time to disable the alarm system before reconnecting the battery. most of the time if they pop the hood and no battery they ditch the car because at this point the alarm is going off.
