Default How to pull CEL code off a obd2-obd1 conversion ecu?

I recently converted my 97 gsr to obd1. It goes away if I turn off the car, but returns after about 10 mins of driving. I think it has to do with catalytic or O2 sensor, cause im running kinda lean. How do i pull the code cause my obd2 actron code scanner just says "linking error" now. Do i have to jump something and count flashes like obd1?

think about what you just wrote. If you converted your car to obd1, how is an obd2 scanner going to work?

You would jump the connector and check it just like an obd1 car.

then turn the key to the ON position and count the CEL flashes. slow flash = 10 digit, fast flash = single digit. therefore, slowflash-slowflash-pause-fastflash = code 21.

Really, i got an Actron Scanner from Autozone, but the cool thing is, you can buy seperate cords for the scanner for gm, ford, etc, for obd1, and it will read the obd1 codes. I was assuming it would work with the obd2 plug, but the scanner just says "linking error" By the way, were is the hookup to jump the wires on a 97 gsr? I couldn't find one under the dash like the one in the c-speedracing pic. Thanks for the help.
