Problem and Questions on suspension install on 01 SH?
First is there like an instruction on how to install a suspension on a SH? I've searched and can't not find one that I liked, or if someone can tell me how I can buy pass a problem that I ran in to when trying to remove the front ones.
Well there is a bar that comes from the front bumper/engine area and connects to the suspension and when i try to remove the bottom bolt (fork bolt) of the suspension it hits that bar and prevents me from removing the suspension, what is that bar and can i remove it the bolt that connects to the suspension, I looked at the bolt and it looks like it can be removed but there is a pin going threw it.
Please help

That bar is the radius arm. Yes you can remove it. You'll need a ball-joint remover. You really should invest in a Helms manual for proper instructions on how to go about this and torque values when putting everything back together.
You will have to jack up that side of the suspension with a jack. use a block of wood and find a good point, then you can lift the suspension enought for the bolt to clear. After i did my shocks i installed these bolts on the other way around so that they come off easy, ive never had problems doing it this way.
i tried to use the jack to jack up the suspension how high did you have to go, did you go all the way to the highest point?
Step 1 - Order a Helms manual --- if you are even halfway serious about working on the car yourself, EVER.
Step 2 - Order a ball joint remover --- NOT the fork kind... ****, here http://www.jcwhitney.com/autop...eview
Step 3 - use a bench grinder and slightly widen out the "U" shaped part of the ball joint remover to fit the SH ball joint.
Step 4 - Thank vinuneuro for the advice
yeah i tried the block of wood method. worked great for the driver side... couldnt get passenger side off to save my life. 5 days later a package come from JC Whitney and passenger side was done in 5 min.

I know exactly which bolt you're talking about. I just installed my suspension on my 97 SH 2 weeks ago. That bolt was the biggest pain the *** to get off. I had help, I used a pry bar and put pressure on the radius arm which gave me barely enough space to get the bolt off. When I reinstalled it, I put the nut in the front so that if I ever have to remove that bolt again it's easier.

This person here is using it wrong but:
This tool FTW!

It costs like $10 at any autoparts store and it will separate the balljoints easily and it wont damage the boot. One of the best tools you'll ever own.
