Where did YOU get it done?
I'm planning to add a GReddy EVO2 Catback Exhaust, DC sports header and a AEM Cold Air Intake to my 93 lude. Was curious where everyone takes there car to have parts put in. Should I take it the local japanese shop that did my engine swap? meineke? Or.. the *gulp* honda dealer? Thx
those are really the easiest things to put on and you can't really hurt anything, just do it yourself. don't forget the pb blaster and some nice mechanics gloves so you don't rip your hands up

Anyone can do an intake especially if its short ram, cold airs can get tricky but i really wouldnt know cause i have a shortram. My exhaust piping is all custom so the shop I had do it just welded it all on. As for headers I don't have any yet but i've heard they're fairly easy, if you're really not confident about it just have someone do it wether it be a freind or a shop. good luck w/it all
Dude the AEM comes with instuctions... all you really need tools wise is like a 10 socket. Takes lik 2 hours if you have no clue what your doing.
Exhaust is like 10 bolts total it's just a bitch to get them off if you have never removed your exhaust before.
I say do it yourself in you garage that way you can double check everything and know its all done correctly, it's not too much difficult it's not like your engine will blow up if you somehow put the itake pipping on wrong or something?

You gotta start out learning somewhere, and you never will learn unless you get your hands dirty. Do the intake first, its extremely easy. After that you do the exaust, the hardest part from that will be loosening the bolts if they are rusted like hell.
I remmember back in the days, when i did my first job by my self. I was changing the upper radiator hose/ thermostat on my 92 Mustang LX. I was so nervous and did know what the hell i was doing. After i finished up and i started the car, the hose poped off and coolant was flying everywhere. It sucked *** but you have to start somewhere....ahhh...those were the days.

I live in Mountlake Terrace, wa. It's pretty close to you. Just PM me. I'll help you put in your intake. The other stuff I dont know how to do. I need to find someone around here to help me put in my suspension!
The best way and easiest to do the exaust is to unbolt the lower portion of the header and take the exaust of the rubber hangers and drop the whole thing. Then you can use a huge *** breaker bar and remove the catalyc converter from the old exaust. There is one nut on the cat that is on top of it and its a bitch to remove because you have no room to get enought torque on it with a ratchet. Just remmember to soak them in PBblaster or wd40 over night.

Exactly what I was going to say.
This should be your top priority when doing anything under your car.

Man I really wish you guys lived close to me, I love helping friends out with cars. I work on my friends cars all the time. We have done like every mod on all of mine and my friends cars in the 'good ol garage'
But definitely do it yourself man. You will gain great knowledge and an good assortment of tools. Once you learn how easy it is you'll be like why the hell did I ever take it anywhere? Plus its very self satisfying to know that you put it together when u see the benefits of a mod.

No one takes it to any shops....
Just do it yourself. It's very easy with basic tools and you save $$$ and gain experience.
