I have a 94 civic lx. It has a little over 100k miles. Yesterday it wouldn't shift into reverse after I started up. After I got back from work and I started looking around and my dipstick was no longer seated in its hole. When I examined it, it had a ding in the metal. I've gotten some suggestions elsewhere but someone suggested I ask here too.
