Default Bling CD Player toned down to blend with dash

My brother's first project on his new '98 Civic

take one cd-player with too much bling

Pull it apart

And tone it down with some black paint

You can have it, if you can get him one to light up a different colour, the amber clock does not match the rest of his dash lights

Nifty idea, I could never have the patience to take that apart. I'd break something. Nice work!

how sad, he was hoping to get it all to match, anyone seen a writeup to change the clock lighting? I know it cant be anywhere near as easy as changing the backlights on the gauge cluster or climate controls

i would take it apart and see how honda made it light up, it might be as simple as changing a light bulb.

I am voting its an orange plastic dealy, but my brother's car is in Australia and I'm here in the USA, so I will have to wait for him to get motivated and pull it out.
