Default Fried 2 ECU's... Maybe grounding?

Alright friends, I'm back with another problem!

A few weeks ago I finished installing my b20vtec setup. At the time, I didn't have a gsr distributor, so I cut a lef off the ls one, and bolted it up. Worked ok, but it needed a new rotor, cap, and coil. couldnt see spending money on something I was going to replace anyways, so I went out and bought a refurbed GSR dizzy from napa, along with a new cap and rotor.

Went home, put it on the car, went to start it...nothing. The starter will wind, but it does not pulse like it normallt does upon startup. I was confused so I started looking for problems. At first I thought my t-belt snapped... its perfect. All the fuses are good under the hood, and dash. just for fun, I put my p28 in there to see if it was the ecu, and it fried! I went to start the car and the ECU started smoking, so its done. Why would it do this?

I have one idea as to what it might be. I took off all my stock grounding lines from the motor and tranny to the body, and replaced them with the Buddy Club Racing Condensor . Could this possibly be my problem? Would the motor/trans not being ground properly fry an ecu through the dizzy?

Make sure that your IAT and EVAP sensors arent switch. Those are known to take out ecu's with the quickness.

pics? i might becuase i put a wiing harness off of a b18b1 on the motor (obd1 gsr head, b20z bottom), so some of the wires had to be exended. Are they the round 2 pin connectors?

I have no pics but the IAT is the little white sensor thats on your intake manifold and the evap is the sensor that has a funny cap on it and has 2 vac. lines coming out of it. What i would do is disconnect both of those and see if the car starts correctly, if it does then that was your problem. Good luck.
