Has anyone ever attempted to swap the sunroof between these cars? I am thinking of doing this but i am not sure if it would work. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Why? Is something on your EP3 sunroof mechanism broken?

I seriously doubt anyone here will have tried this, but you never know.

 

With enough effort, nearly anything can be swapped into anything else. Why would you want to, in this case?

 

The like the way the EG's sunroof slide outside. And I think the Ep3 might look better with the sunroof that slides outside. I have also heard of people owning cars with the roof that slides inside develop leaks (eg. 1991 honda prelude). I have an EG that recently crashed and i am going to get rid of it. So i was thinking of doing the swap. It is no biggy i am just curious.

 

Hmm, interesting idea. I wouldn't mind it sliding outside either.

As long as the drainage tubes don't get clogged up, though, I don't see any reason for the EP's sunroof to leak into the interior.

If you tackle the project, you might be the first, and you'd owe us a DIY.

 

Yea, when it gets abit warmer i'll attempt the swap and definitely document everything.

 

i would venture a guess that the rsx one is a direct swap, and it slides out onto the top of the car. something to think about
