Default how much whp from jdm b18c(gsr)?

I'm going to be dropping in a jdm b18c(gsr) in my DA within the next month from HMO. I know usdm b18c1's dyno around 145-155whp. How much do jdm gsr's usually make ? It can't be the same because the jdm motor has a 10.6CR while the b18c1 only has 10.0CR. Fill me in. Thanks.

Okay, so subtract it to about 150/110 ish
without putting it on a dyno you will have no exact number.

Just like all the n00bs that come on here and say I have this, this, and this...how much whp do I have? What time will I run? dyno it and run it who the hell knows.

Exactly, I just said that in the very first post that I know usdm gsr's make around 145-155whp. I was asking people WHO HAVE dyno'd their jdm gsr motors for comparison.

Since you have no answer for what I was asking for, Just don't reply back and don't ruin someone else's question. This isn't a " how much will my set-up make" thread because I want to know how much stock jdm gsr motors dyno at from people who have actually dyno'd them.

I didn't ask for the crank hp, I stated VERY CLEARLY IN THE FIRST POST that I was asking for comparison of WHEEL HORSEPOWER. If the jdm motor is rated at 180hp and the usdm motor is rated at 170hp, why would they make the same whp?

That's what im trying to figure out. Now don't ruin my question with your inconsiderate words of non sense. Be helpful and don't be a douche.

???? I dont need to tell you why this thread is pointless at this point do I??? Im sure you can handle that miniscule amount of math to get a rough estimate of where the JDM motor would be at...

probably not...same CR but less aggressive cams to compliment that CR and its going to a 500 rpm lower rev limit..Expect on average somewhere in the 150's...I have one in my car, but I had CTR cams, ITR valvetrain and a milled head with it, so I never got a stock baseline

Dude calm down, I was giving you my estimate. I wasn't saying anything about you asking a dumb question regarding how much will this set up make. I was just saying. And how is my 150 estimate different from IVIemphiz's?

Subtract 15% for drivline power loss from the rated crank HP and that's usually about what you'll end up with.

Example: B18C1 .... 170 HP

170 x .15 = 25.5

170 - 25.5 = 144.5 HP to the wheels..............and that's about dead-on average for a stock GSR. Hope this helps

JDM B18C(GSR) doesnt dyno much more then the USDM B18C1. They usually dyno 3-5whp more depending on motor. So you should expect o see around 145-150whp.

JDM or USDM motor basically almost the same. just depends on how healthy the motor is

they are actually pretty different in terms of pistons...one yeilding .6 more points CR than the other...

10.6 to 1 vs 10.0 to 1...The difference is pretty significant...USDM ITR 10.6 CR as well...Throw cams at the 10.6 and by the numbers it will take better advantage of it
