I am replacing the motor in a vigor with a JDM one and I cannot get the driver side axel in the JDM motor !!!!! I measured with sockets and the opening is smaller on the JDM one .....

You need to use the intermediate shaft out of your old motor. It's the part that goes through the oil pan and held down with three botls. I ran into the same issue with my swap since my motor came out of a JDM TL (silver valve cover compared to black valve cover used on Vigors). It's easy to change them over and there are a few o-rings that you should change while you are there. They tend to leak.
