Default POLL: Buy 1998 BMW 528i or keep 2002 Maxima

Hey guys. I have recently grown bored of my Maxima. I want to modify something a little different. What do you guys think about the BMW 528i? There is a 1998 BMW 528i, with 75k miles on it, for around $10.5K in my area. My car already has 84K miles on it, but it's a 2002. I am looking to sell my car for around 15K with everything on it. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the 528i has a manual transmission, I'd choose it over the Maxima. But, that's me.

Your Maxima is hideous. Sell it. But don't buy the 528i... You're gonna be buying the bottom of the line BMW just so you can have a bmw. It's a 192hp engine in a boat of a car. And a bmw with 75k on the clock is like an asian car with 200k. It'll run, but you'll get maybe two years out of it before you start running into headaches ($$$$)...

I didn't vote in your poll, because I really don't care what you do.

In my family, we've owned 3 different yrs/models of BMW's. I love them, they are truly great cars to drive. However, when they break (not IF) they can be a bitch. The parts are overpriced and can be troublesome to locate new.

I think you max is nice, and I would keep it if it was mine.

Would keep the maxima. Like others have stated, when the BMW breaks, the price to fix it is up there. I saw my friend dump 2 grand into his 3 series just to do his 60k maintenance and fix his alternator. I still laugh at him for it haha!
