need help choosing brake booster and prop valve for rex with da brake and drums
i have an HF with DA brakes up front and stock drums in the back. i already have an EX MC so my pedal is high and firm. i feel that my car does not brake very well (compared to my stock teg). i have tried and i can't get the wheels to lock up.
-the first thing i want to do is change the prop valve. im thinking im going to try to find a 3540 from an EX if i can't find that would a 2040 from an si be much different?
-the other thing im going to replace is the booster. would one from an EX be the best choice since it is 9" (will it even fit)? or it the 8" from an si good enough?

Don't waste your money on disc they don't help you stop andy better.
I you are looking for better braking you can get better pads the other thing to be done is swapping in a non-abs (260v) booster and MC from an Integra.

i don't think the teg booster is compatible to my EX MC, thats why i want to know if i can use an EX MC (which i think is 9") or just us and si (which is 8"). right now i have the hf which is 7".
i only have stock pads put i can't beleive that my stock 97 ls integra can brake ALOT better than my light weight rex with similar rotors/calipers.
i have hankook rs2 tires

i dont think upgrading your booster will help your actual braking...but rather just give you a different pedal feel...going larger will just make your pedal softer, lower, and better pedal assist. I would say upgrade to 1inch MC but there is no need to because youll just lock up your fronts. So try out some better pads and some brembo blanks and if that doesnt do the job upgrade to a bigger caliper ex ITR, prelude, NSX, legend, or even wilwood i heard 11inch setups stop in a dime
and from what i remember when i went prop valve hunting i think eg's have 3040 sooo i guess you can try that
I guess if your not willing to switch parts I don't know what to tell you. If you want better pedal feel you can make the change I mentioned above. Swapping everything out.
I have swapped everything out in my CRX for the OEM big brake and booster and MC and it will stop on a dime coming off a long front or back stretch.
As I said upgrade your pads if you want better braking. Get better fluid and bleed the brakes.

It won't bolt up to Integra. That is the problem with EX MC it doesn't really bolt to a bigger booster.

well the EX MC has to bolt up to the EX brake booster. so will the booster itself bolt to the firewall and the the pedal?
thanks for the help so far toad, you seem to be the only one on this website anymore who knows a thing or two.

i know it will bolt up to an si booster (8") and that is an upgrade compared to my hf booster (7") i just want to know if the 9" from the ex will work
