Default i'm going to need some creative help. 1999 cr-v snorkel

I'm getting married april 1st on the beach in Corolla N.C. No problem I know the cr-v can take that.
The problem is our honeymoon house is in the 4X4 only area (no paved roads) and the roads that are there are NOTORIOUS for flooding. I'm not planning on going through any deep water, but if the time comes that I must i've got to be prepared (and better safe than sorry, especially that time of year)
In a wrangler i've had water come over the hood on the same roads
this picture was half way up the door on the jeep
http://www.flickr.com/photos/moogocow3/180794334/and here is a view from a house near where we are renting.

you can see the water in the yard

What I need to know is how I can make my intake higher without cutting or modifying any of the factory intake?
I'm not worried about the computer or anything because it's just going to be in the water long enough to get through it (if I even have to).

And the water puddles there are not sea water, it's mainly fresh water from rain.

Thanks in advance

You can't. You're going to have to at least 'modify' it a bit. Just park on high ground and if there is a gulley washer, stay put and enjoy the wetness.

take of the hood and invert you cai assuming that you have one if not you should , anyhow invert you cai and point it up instant snorkle. but i would atempt a forging in a crv unless its not a great distance and you can do it with moderate speed.

and on futher review of your post if your not planning on beeing in the water but for a second the stock box is made with baffels to keep water out you could in theory drive though a small stream pond without stoping and as long as you dont stop in the water you shouldnt have a problem because the intake pickup is in the bumper/fender and is fairly sealed that and the baffels you should be ok
baffels pic

there is also a baffel under the filter box that i couldnt ind a pic for that look like the baffel pictured #13 which is surrounded by the bumper fender and liner and lower liner

We went out to check out the house and got a picture of the same house you see above. The water you saw wasn't the yard IT WAS THE ROAD!!!!

But to get to ours the maximum the road will allow is 3 feet deep. So I don't think i'm going to have any problem. But using an inverted short ram seems like the best idea.
But better than that you should see the sand hill you have to climb to get there! That cr-v is like a Japan built Jeep out there!

Thanks for the help everybody!
